Owner-Occupied Homestead Tax Exemption Reapplication Deadline Extended to April 6

Legislation passed last year requires all Providence homeowners to reapply for the owner-occupied homestead tax exemption. The new ordinance requires homeowners to register their vehicle at the address on the homestead exemption application. Get the application and requirements to reapply here.

Appeal Your Car Tax Assessment

Download the Rhode Island Vehicle Value Commission Appeal Form. Two copies of the appeal form and a copy of the tax bill for each vehicle being appealed must be filed with the Tax Assessor's Office within 30 days of the mailing of your tax bill.
